The Most Eye-Catching Fashion From NYFW 2024

New York Fashion Week, the time of year when the most fashionable celebrities, top models, and elite designers show what they’ve got, took place throughout New York City from September 6-11. From the first lady, Jill Biden, to celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Elizabeth Olsen, to Olympic athletes, influencers like Nara Smith, and so many more! The most talented designers debuted new collections, but we’re covering the best dressed on the sidelines of every runway.

Celebrities & Musicians

When it comes to celebrities and music artists, everyone was in attendance in New York and they ere dressed as spectacularly as the models of the show they were attending. Madonna was spotted in a structured tan button down coat with black accessories. Suit jackets and coats are all the rage this season. Ice Spice was spotted with her signature orange hair straightened in a half-up, half-down look, along with a Luar black and white dress that played with visual illusions. Actress Olivia Wilde was seen front row at Michael Kors in a sheer black lace midi dress. Kerry Washington and Nina Dobrev both pulled off the suit trend in a black suit jack and matching dress shorts that stopped at their knees.

Olympians

Olympians brought the style. While the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris have ended, the athletes have continued to shine. Of course, Team USA gymnast Jordan Chiles walked the runway for Kim Shui, but there were multiple other athletes, including her Team USA gymnastics teammates, who were showing off their style in the front row of shows. Bronze medalist Suni Lee, track and field star Gabby Thomas, and former Team USA gymnasts Aly Raisman were spotted front row at Tommy Hilfiger, Jonathan Simkhai, and Tory Burch, and more. Our favorite was Suni Lee in a floral patterned coat by Prada, which the Olympian shared on her Instsgram.

Influencers

Some influencers have made a spot for themselves in the fashion world and have grown their fame past just social media and into the real world. Noah Beck was spotted at Tommy Hilfiger in a striped white, red, and black sweater and jeans — an elevated casual look. Nara Smith and her model husband, Lucky Blue Smith, were spotted throughout NYFW in their retro fashion as seen on TikTok and Instagram. Influencer turned podcaster turned model, Alix Earle, was spotted hosting Frame’s NYFW dinner in a tan button down number and her hair styled into fluffy blonde bangs and shoulder-length locks.

Top Models

Models were serving looks on and off the runway. Ashley Graham was at 3.1 Philip Lim in a structure wine red dress and black accessories. Winnie Harlow was rocking a tan trench coat and striped button-down shirt at Tommy Hilfiger, which took place on comedians Pete Davidson and Colin Jost’s Staten Island ferry boat. Coco Rocha stunned at Christian Cowan in a spotted pants suit and cropped suit jacket. Rocha looked refined and effortless. While Lucky Blue Smith was rocking the runway at Ralph Lauren’s Hamptons Show, but he was seen in the audience at other shows with his influencer wife, Nara Smith.

Politicians

First Lady Jill Biden was spotted in a Ralph Lauren Beckman blazer with princess seams along the front and back, an ornate brooch, and matching trousers and pumps at Ralph Lauren’s 2025 runway show in the Hamptons. A surprise at NYFW were political merch, specifically Waltz-Harris camo hats. The hats were spotted on fashion journalists like Eva Chen. But the political fashion didn’t stop there. Activist and fashion designer Aurora James, producer Jordan Roth, and more were spotted in custom merch for Vice President Kamala Harris. Beyond the upcoming election, Willy Chavarria’s spring 2025 collection put politics at the forefront with a collection inspired by America’s working class.

Everyone from household names to fashion darlings and more were all styled to stun at New York Fashion Week 2024. Wearing the hottest trends: suits, retro throwbacks, and traditional American style, the stars were putting on a show off the runway. Ready to get styled to the nines and rock your own runway?
