How To Catch Your Date’s Eye This Valentine’s Day

Love is in the air as we make our way to Valentine’s Day. For some, Valentine’s Day is just another date night, for others, they want to go all out and dress to impress. Don’t worry, you don’t have to buy a whole new outfit to dress for the occasion. You most likely have the base of your outfit or half of it already in your closet. Maybe you just need that final accessory to bring your outfit together. We’re here to give you some Valentine’s Day inspiration.

Don’t be afraid of heart-shaped accessories, cutouts, and designs. They might seem a bit like overkill sometimes, but when done right, hearts can look cute and delicate. These sweet and playful designs can take what might be a boring outfit otherwise and give it a much-needed boost. Try out a knit with a heart-shaped cutout or a heart-shaped bag to accessorize a look.

If heart-shaped details aren’t your thing, then go for some classic Valentine’s Day colors. Everyone can rock a little pink or red. If the two colors aren’t in your typical wheelhouse of colors, try out rose gold, mauve, or a shade of white like cream. If you’re not against red and pink but don’t typically wear it, try out small accents of color.

Of course, clothing isn’t the only thing we’re thinking about when we’re getting dolled up. When it comes to makeup and hair, you can never go wrong with a blowout. Remember, when it comes to hair, you can never go wrong with going with a natural look that amplifies your hair’s qualities.

Whether we’re talking about curls, waves, kinks, or pin straight, natural hair that is taken care of with the products will look beautiful.

Men, we haven’t forgotten about you! If you’re not into large amounts of pink or red (although, a pink cashmere pullover is never a bad look), opt for accents of color. Get a pink or red tie to be the finishing touch on a button-down shirt. Pick out a nice belt or watch to accessorize. Remember to match your shoes and belt to elevate your look. Finally, put some effort into your grooming for your Valentine’s date. Now, we’re not saying you need to shave your face to look put together but make sure your facial hair is neat. If you’re not sure what kinds of products to use on your hair and face, that’s what a StyldLife session is here for.

We all want to look our best on Valentine’s Day, whether you’re doing a “Galentine’s” or “Palentine’s”, or you’re going out with a loved one. Even single people want to look fabulous on Valentine’s Day. If you like one of our ideas but aren’t sure how to style yourself, book a quick StyldLife session before Valentine’s Day and check out our other fashion and beauty blogs for more ideas!
